Getting High Off Bath Salts…Seriously, America?

February 17, 2011 § 1 Comment

People are now using bath salts to get high. (In case you’re a guy–or even a girl who has been living under a rock–let me briefly explain bath salts: us girls put them in our bath to soften our skin and make us smell like candy and flowers. The salts can also act as a water softener. They really improve the whole bathing experience!)

Snorting/inhaling the bath salts, however, causes psychotic and paranoid behavior in its users. It can also kill a person from just one use. Apparently one man tried to behead his own mother while high off the easily obtainable hallucinogen; another tried to eat the seat cushion (nutritious) while in the back of a cop car–according to MSNBC.

They are still legal in most states; however, Florida has moved quickly to ban the bath salts, which are sold in stores, head shops, and online. Hopefully the rest of the country will catch on and ban them as well.

If you or someone you know is joining in on this totally stupid activity, take the nearest hard object and hit them (or yourself) over the head with it, multiple times.

I’d say great for natural selection, but since people high on this stuff can hurt/kill others quite easily . . . we should just go back to cracking idiots over the head with rocks.
